About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP of Finance to oversee its financial operations and support its growth and stability. The successful candidate will be a hands-on professional with a deep understanding of the construction industry, excellent leadership skills, and the potential to grow into the CFO role. Responsibilities include directing accounting, tax, and financial reporting functions, managing the month-end close process, leading the annual budgeting process, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The VP of Finance will also collaborate with project executives to monitor financial performance, build and lead a high-performing finance team, and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation. Qualified candidates for the VP of Finance position should have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with an MBA or advanced degree preferred. A CPA, CCIFP, or similar professional certification is highly desirable. The role requires 5 to 10 years of experience as a controller or VP Finance in the construction industry, with expertise in construction accounting principles, project costing, and contract management. Strong financial analysis, modeling, and forecasting skills are essential, as is proficiency in construction-specific ERP systems, financial software, and MS Office applications. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, be a strategic thinker, and have a proven track record of leadership and driving results.
