Position: General Manager - Operations

Location: Adelanto, CA (On-site)

Private owned manufacturing business proudly serving customers for over 80 years based in Adelanto, CA. As we continue to grow, were seeking an operational leader to help us scale effectively while maintaining our strong culture.

Position Summary

The General Manager will be the operational driver ensuring smooth daily production, enforcing accountability, and optimizing workflow across the business for design and manufacturing business with under 50 employees. This role requires a balance of manufacturing expertise, people leadership, and process discipline. You will manage day-to-day operations ensuring production targets are met, materials are used efficiently, and employees are supported and aligned with company goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all day-to-day operations across production, operational flow, sales orders management, workforce management, and administrative processes.
• Enforce accountability, standard operating procedures, and checklists to ensure consistent quality and efficiency.
• Oversee workforce performance, address HR issues, manage and escalate as needed.
• Drive process improvements to streamline operational flow, material usage, and operational efficiency.
• Manage compliance with California labor laws, safety regulations, and workplace standards.
• Maintain accurate operational data using ERP systems, Excel, and other digital tools.
• Balance priorities between production management and people leadership.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in manufacturing or material-heavy production environments.
• Strong organizational, process management, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Excel, ERP systems, and basic geometry/math for production needs.
• Track record of improving operational efficiency and enforcing accountability.
• Skilled in workforce management, including handling sensitive HR matters.
• Ability to work on-site daily in Adelanto, CA, with limited owner supervision.
• Experience navigating California labor laws preferred.
