About The Role – Who You’ll Work With ...

SourceAmerica is seeking a Nonprofit Liaison to join the Workforce Development team. This position is responsible for establishing and maintaining an open line of communication between SourceAmerica and the Nonprofit Agency (NPA) community. This role is crucial in enhancing NPA relationships with SourceAmerica and ensuring a constructive and collaborative environment for both parties. #ZR

There are approximately 500 NPAs in the SourceAmerica nonprofit network that provide products or services through the AbilityOne Program and approximately 36,000 AbilityOne employees are in the SourceAmerica nonprofit network. #ZR, #LI-SC1

*Due to the requirements of this position, the ideal candidate must reside in one of the following Eastern region states: Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, or West Virginia.

Your Impact ...

  • Act as the main point of contact for NPAs on behalf of SourceAmerica. Be available to address inquiries, concerns, and feedback from NPAs promptly and effectively.
  • Cultivate strong, trust-based relationships with NPAs. Work towards understanding their needs, challenges, and objectives to facilitate smoother interactions.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve communication channels between SourceAmerica and NPAs. This may involve organizing regular meetings, forums, or virtual gatherings to exchange information, share best practices, and address issues collaboratively.
  • Provide guidance, resources, and support to NPAs ensuring participants have access to and knowledge of using SourceAmerica Portal and Network Hub resources.
  • Collaborate with internal SourceAmerica teams to enhance the overall customer experience for NPAs, supporting timely communication on important topics, i.e. newly released ExecutiveOrders, Program and Federal initiatives, etc.
  • Support their manager to identify Opportunities for Improvement (OFIs) and develop plans for leadership consideration to promote NPA customer satisfaction.
  • Support SourceAmerica events (in person when needed), as required (National Counsel of SourceAmerica Employers Chief Executive Officer Forums, Board Meetings, Grassroots and Xforce National Conference).
  • Business travel is required for this position based on business need.

Salary Range

The salary for this position falls in a range between $99,000 and $120,000 depending on your experience and geographic location in the United States.

What We’re Looking For ...

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a relevant field of study from an accredited institution instead of applicable skills training. SourceAmerica recognizes 1.5 years of experience = 1 year of college, should the candidate not meet the educational requirement.
  • Must have 5 years of professional experience including a thorough understanding of the nonprofit sector (NPA's).
  • Must have a flexible schedule and some travel required during certain time periods.
  • Experience delivering highest level of customer service, responsiveness to internal and external customers, and a professional approach to managing relationships.
  • Attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications …

  • Knowledge and experience working with nonprofits in the AbilityOne program.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with individuals and teams across a 400+ organization with a national footprint.
  • Proficiency in MS Office including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • We use Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) as our primary business application system for much of our office processes.
  • Capable of working independently and solving problems under time pressure.

Work Environment

Depending on the applicant location. Our organization offers both a hybrid and remote work environment where employees work in our office two to three days per week and work from home the balance of the workweek. *Due to the requirements of this position, the ideal candidate must reside in one of the following Eastern region states: Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, or West Virginia.
